The Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII) has been organizing the Biennial Conferences on Entrepreneurship since 1994. These conferences continue to serve as a platform for researchers, educators, and practitioners to share their findings and experiences in entrepreneurship development. Discussions on issues of contemporary relevance have paved the way for new initiatives to promote entrepreneurship on a larger scale. The conferences are held under the auspices of the Centre for Research in Entrepreneurship Education and Development (CREED), established by EDII.
To further strengthen and stimulate a culture of entrepreneurship education, policy, and practice across India, EDII has launched a Regional Conference Series on Entrepreneurship. These one-day conferences are thematic in nature, focusing on various dimensions of entrepreneurship as a precursor to the main Biennial Conference. The Regional Conferences aim to encourage entrepreneurship research by addressing the socio-cultural, economic, and geographical diversity and the context-specific needs of different regions. Selected papers from these regional conferences are further refined and featured at the main Biennial Conference.
First Regional Conference at PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore
It is with great pleasure that we acknowledge the support of PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore, and its Innovation Council for generously hosting the First Regional Conference at their esteemed campus. The conference was held on Friday, December 13, 2024, and featured the presentation of 19 research papers on entrepreneurship and related themes. These papers reflect current developments in entrepreneurship, both this region.
